7 classrooms in Rizal rehabilitated by GMA Kapuso Foundation

GMA Kapuso Foundation extended their helping hand to a school in Pililla, Rizal.

According to Mel Tiangco's report on "24 Oras" on Monday, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, through its Kapuso School Development Project, helped rehabilitate seven classrooms at the Malaya Elementary School, which was affected by Typhoon Enteng in September 2024.

"Talagang gumagawa ang GMA Kapuso Foundation ng earthquake resistant atsaka 'yung malakas na hangin hindi agad-agad nadadala 'yung mga roofs," said GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog.

Aside from rehabilitating the classrooms, the comfort rooms within them were also upgraded.

"Pinalitan natin lahat ng mga toilet bowls at tsaka 'yung mga lavatories. Kaya mas convenient nilagyan natin ang countertop para hindi siya basta-basta matanggal doon sa wall," GMA Kapuso Foundation Supervising Engineer Arnel Zantua said.

The foundation provided new armchairs, teacher's desks, and smart TVs and also distributed rice and food to the students.

For those who are interested to help, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
