Mechanic siblings die after backhoe part fell on them in Aklan

Two mechanic siblings were dead on the spot after a part of a backhoe fell on them in Barangay Pagsanjan in Banga, Aklan.

According to the report of Super Radyo Kalibo’s Darwin Tapayan on Friday, the Banga Municipal Police Station said that the incident happened while the two victims were repairing a dump track.

The two asked for help to lift the truck’s transmission using a backhoe when a part of it exploded and fell on them, it added.

It took more than an hour for the responders to recover the bodies of the victims.

Assistance will be provided to the family of the victims while the police investigation is still ongoing. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
