Rented car recovered after three years; 2 arrested
A rented car has been recovered by authorities after three years but it was already in a run-down state, according to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested by the authorities but he said that he was not aware the car was stolen and that he was only ordered to drive it.
The driver told the authorities on where the car came from. In a follow up operation, the individual who rented the car a few years back was arrested.
Nadame Malang.
(The victim’s car was rented out for P12,000 monthly. For the first two months, there were no problems with the payments. But after a few months, the victim realized that he was a victim of ‘rentangay’.)
The suspects have yet to speak on the matter and are currently in the custody of the PNP-Highway Patrol Group. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
