Over 200 wild spiders intercepted at GenSan Int'l Airport

Six containers containing 278 wild spiders were intercepted on Tuesday at the General Santos International Airport by the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP AVSEGROUP) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). 

According to the report by Super Radyo dzBB’s Ralph Obina on Wednesday, the PNP AVSEGROUP said that the shipper of the containers was planning to deliver them to various parts of the country, such as Tarlac City, Tarlac; Lipa City and Ibaan, Batangas; Valenzuela City; and Carmona, Cavite.

The smuggled spiders are now in the custody of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office of DENR Region 12. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA Integrated News
