P1M worth of shabu seized, suspect nabbed in CDO buy-bust

An estimated P1 million worth of suspected shabu was seized and a high value suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Cagayan de Oro City, police said Sunday.

In a statement, a joint police operation of units under  P/Brigadier General Edwin  Quilates, Director of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, was laid on 1:23 a.m. on Sunday in Zone 11, Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.  

The operation resulted in the arrest of Alias Migueldo, a 48-year-old High-Value Individual (HVI). Seized from his possession were approximately 153 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated price of ?1,040,400.00.

The suspect is in temporary custody of the Special Operations Unit 10 of the Philippine National Police - Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) for documentation and proper disposition, while the confiscated drugs will be turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 10 for laboratory examination. —RF, GMA Integrated News
