6 hurt after being thrown from caterpillar ride in Camarines Norte

Six people sustained injuries after they were hurled from a caterpillar ride at a town fair in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Monday, a contributed video showed some men frantically asking that the ride stop operations as they carried some of its passengers to safety.

The mishap happened after the caterpillar ride's satefy steel handrail reportedly got detached, local officials said.

The victims were brought to the hospital for medical treatment and later reached a settlement with the town fair’s management, which shouldered their medical expenses.
