Fisherman dead after IED blast in Rizal, Palawan

A fisherman died after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded while he was fishing in the waters of Barangay Taburi in Rizal, Palawan.

According to the report of Super Radyo Palawan’s Jhun Bantaculo on Wednesday,  ‘bong bong’ or a powder in a bottle suddenly exploded. 

Initial investigation showed that a nearby resident heard a loud explosion from the sea, prompting other fishermen to rescue him. 

However, the victim was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician after suffering severe bleeding due to the blast. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
