Fired from job, ex-gasoline boy robs former workplace of P100k
A few days after he lost his job at a gasoline station, a man ended up robbing his former workplace in General Santos City and made off with P100,000 in cash.
According to According to Efren Mamac’s report on “GMA Regional TV One Mindanao” on Wednesday, the ex-gasoline boy robbed a gasoline station in Barangay Dadiangas North on Tuesday.
CCTV footage showed the suspect gripping a firearm and instructing a female employee to stuff the cash into a bag.
Police Colonel Nicomedes Olaivar Jr., General Santos City Police Office Director, said the suspect was recently fired from his job over issues related to the gasoline station’s earnings
At first, the gasoline station’s staff did not suspect anything as they thought their ex-colleague was just paying them a visit.
The suspect managed to retrieve the security guard’s firearm and announced the robbery.
Olaivar said the suspect knew where the firearm was being kept, as well as the drawer where the money was stashed.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect, while the gasoline station’s owner has implemented tighter security measures after the robbery. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/JMA, GMA Integrated News
