Tricycle driver caught on cam hitting young student in Tarlac City

A tricycle driver was caught on CCTV hitting a female student walking to school in Tarlac City. 

According to John Consulta’s report on State of the Nation on Thursday, three students were on walking to school last Tuesday when a tricycle suddenly swerved toward them. WIthout warning, the driver hit one of the students on the back of her head.

The suspect fled the scene after the incident. 

The student received immediate medical attention. 

Police later located the driver. His family claimed he has a medical condition. 

“Nung kinakausap ko siya, medyo iba-iba po ang kanyang sinasabi. Hindi po siya makausap nang maayos,” said Tarlac City Police Station chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Nier Mercado.
