Magnitude 5.5 earthquake strikes off Cagwait, Surigao del Sur
A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck off the coast of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur on Saturday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The earthquake, which occurred at 8:31 p.m., hit at a depth of 31 km. Its epicenter was located 14 km southeast of Cagwait.

Intensity IV- City of Bislig, Cagwait, and Marihatag, Surigao del sur
Intensity III - City of Mati, Davao Oriental; Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur; Hinatuan, Tagbina, and City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur
Intensity II - City of Cagayan de Oro; Mabini, and Maco, Davao de Oro; Malita, Davao Occidental
Intensity I - City of Davao
PHIVOLCS classified the tremor as an aftershock of the magnitude 6.0 earthquake that occurred 13 kilometers away from General Luna, Surigao del Norte on Friday. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
