Roxas, Capiz declares state of calamity amid Ramil floods
The local government of Roxas City, Capiz on Sunday announced the declaration of a state of calamity, due to rains and the floods brought about by Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen).
Under Resolution 263-2025 shared by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, the city council in a special session unanimously approved the motion of Sanggunian Member Fernando Luis Viterbo to declare a state of calamity.
The resolution cited the continuous rains and floods that caused the evacuation of residents, the destruction and damage to lives, properties, agricultural crops, livelihood, and various infrastructure projects in the city.
