2 fishermen struck by lightning in Kalibo, Aklan, 1 dead 

Two fishermen were struck by lightning while at sea in Kalibo, Aklan, leaving one of them dead. 

According to the report of Super Radyo Kalibo’s Lyneth Mendoza on Friday, a fellow fisherman said the two victims were on their way home from their fishing activity at around 3 a.m. when the incident happened.

The witness said the boat of the victims was on fire after being struck by lightning. 

The wounded fisherman was brought to the hospital, while his companion’s body was immediately brought to the funeral parlor. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
