Motorcycle rider dead, 2 hurt after being pelted with bottles in Floridablanca, Pampanga
A motorcycle rider died while his two passengers sustained injuries after they were pelted with bottles while travelling along a road in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
According to CJ Torida’s Wednesday report on “24 Oras,” the motorcycle carrying the victims, ages 15 to 16 years old, skidded along the road before hitting a residential gate.
The police said the incident was not an accident but an ambush, as one of the victims had argued with the suspect online before the incident, which escalated into a challenge.
One of the victims was supposed to meet the suspect in Barangay Calantas, but when he failed to show up, the suspect and his accomplice waited for him in his house.
When they saw the victims approaching on board a motorcycle, they started throwing bottles.
The driver accelerated to avoid the objects, but ended up losing control of the motorcycle and crashing.
They were immediately brought to the hospital, but the motorcycle driver was declared dead on arrival.
According to the sister of one of the victims, they were doing a school project, and the rider borrowed a motorcycle to give his friends a ride.
The police arrested the 24-year-old suspect, who is a mechanic, and his three alleged accomplices.
