TPB encourages local business partnerships to boost tourism in MIMAROPA
PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan — The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) is pushing for local partnerships between tourism-related businesses in the country during the 2025 Regional Tourism Fair (RTF) in Palawan.
On Friday, the Board opened business-to-business (B2B) sessions at the Princesa Island Garden Resort in Puerto Princesa with a total of 67 sellers and 52 buyers in participation.
TPB Promotions Department sales division chief Cesar Villanueva shared that the activity aimed to forge partnerships to further improve MIMAROPA’s tourism for visitors coming from local and international markets.
“Here in Puerto Princesa, we continue on that mission with experiences designed to spark new partnerships, inspire travelers, and uplift local livelihoods. It’s about building a future for tourism that is inclusive and full of opportunity,” he said.
The B2B sessions allowed for the curation of deals and packages between tourism stakeholders.
“Every productive meeting here will contribute to a stronger tourism economy anchored on sustainability and cultural stewardship,” added Villanueva.
During the program, presentations from local tourism departments in MIMAROPA were also showcased.
Marinduque boasted about their cultural traditions, including the Moriones and Bila-Bila Festival, as well as the traditional Putong song and Kalutang music.
Romblon had positioned themselves as the marble capital of the Philippines and an emerging destination for exploring nature, while Palawan had featured their beaches and heritage as the country’s “last frontier.”
Among the participating businesses were various airlines, hotels, travel agencies, and regional offices of the Department of Tourism (DOT) nationwide.
Following the B2B session, the MIMAROPA RTF will be holding open sessions for the public to visit and avail packages at Robinson’s Palawan from November 15 to 16. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
