11 killed as 10-wheeler hits UV Express van in Camalig, Albay

Eleven people were killed after a 10-wheel truck hit a UV Express van in Camalig, Albay.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, CCTV footage showed that the truck was moving at high speed in Barangay Libod.

The truck hit the van after failing to slow down on a curve in the road.

Due to the impact, the two vehicles plunged into the river. The truck struck the van, which was carrying 14 passengers.

Rescuers had difficulty getting the victims out since the van was crushed.

Based on the initial investigation, the truck was en route to Guinobatan Town when it encountered a mechanical issue.
