SUV driver nabbed for hit and run, pointing pellet gun in GenSan

Authorities arrested a driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) who was trying to flee after an alleged a hit and run accident where he pointed a pellet gun at a tricycle driver in Barangay Tambler, General Santos City over the weekend.

According to Efren Mamak’s Monday report on “24 Oras,” the Gensan Police engaged in a chase with the SUV driver past 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The SUV driver attempted to escape the police multiple times even after he was cornered.

When the driver still resisted, the police pulled him out of the driver’s seat and pinned him to the ground where they handcuffed him.

The suspect is facing charges of grave threat and reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.

He has yet to release a statement on the matter.

Meanwhile, the tricycle driver is safe but refused to comment on the matter. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
