High-profile drug suspect arrested in Iloilo; P6.12M alleged shabu confiscated

A high-profile drug suspect was arrested by authorities in Iloilo on Saturday, the Philippine National Police said.

Alleged shabu weighing approximately 900 grams and estimated to be worth P6.12 million were confiscated by operatives.

The buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay Bongco in the municipality of Pototan, the PNP said.

Operatives from the Pototan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Police Intelligence Unit (PIU), and Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) of Iloilo Police Provincial Office (PPO) also recovered buy-bust money, among other items. These have been placed under the custody of the Pototan MPS.

“This operation underscores the PNP’s relentless resolve to eliminate illegal drug activities across the country,” PNP acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
