Partner of Dueñas, Iloilo Vice Mayor emotional after accidental death

The partner of the late Dueñas, Iloilo Vice Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan is mourning her death after she accidentally shot herself with a gun. 

According to a report in “24 Oras” on Thursday, Lamasan was laid to rest on Wednesday. 

“I tried but I am sorry, I wasn’t able to save her. I tried everything, we all tried even at the last minute, we asked the doctor, what else can we do?” said Lord Byron Torrecarion, Lamasan’s partner. 

The Department of the Interior and Local Government earlier concluded that Lamasan’s death was due to accidental firearm discharge. 

The DILG also said that Lamasan was never involved in any anomaly. It also said that her partner has nothing to do with her death.
