2 dead in helicopter crash in Pililla, Rizal

In a statement, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the incident occurred at around 7:27 a.m. in Upper Barak, Barangay Quisao.

“Batay sa inisyal na ulat, may limang sakay ang helicopter na agad na naisugod sa Rizal Provincial Hospital sa Morong para sa karampatang lunas,” the police said. 

(Based on the initial report, the five people on the chopper were immediately brought to the Rizal Provincial Hospital in Morong for treatment.)

Two of the passengers have died according to Pilillla, Rizal Mayor John Masinsin in Mark Makalalad's report on Super Radyo dzBB.

“Initial reports show na mayroon pong limang passengers (with two foreign nationals) — two fatalities, one critically injured, two minor injuries and are in stable condition,” the mayor said in a Facebook post.

The Rizal PPO said coordination is ongoing with concerned agencies to determine the cause of the crash and to ensure public safety in the area.
