Taclobo tops Kabulakan festival showdown

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines - Barangay Taclobo was declared as the champion in the recently concluded Second Kabulakan Festival. They received P3,000 for presenting their legend flower, Cadena de Amor. The first runner up, Barangay Daro, won for its legend flower, Sunflower, a cash prize of P2,000. The second runner-up award was bagged by Barangay Bunao, with its legend flower, Rosal. They got P1,000. Other winners were Barangay Daro for best in street dancing, best float, and best choreography while best in costume went to Barangay Bunao. Each participating barangay received P1,500 for food allowance during the festival day. The activity ended with fireworks. There was also ballroom dancing at the Quezon Park ground. - Sun.Star
