The Department of Migrant Workers shut down a Korean language training center in Pampanga that allegedly offered illegal employment in South Korea.

In a 24 Oras Weekend report on Saturday, the DMW said the said center in Mabalacat City promised applicants employment opportunities in South Korea via the employment permit system and the student pathway option

This offer came at the cost of large amounts of money from the applicants, said the DMW. It added the center had no license to operate.

Authorities closed the said establishment last March 12.

The DMW advised the public to be wary of training centers offering work overseas. —RF, GMA Integrated News
