3 scrap metal divers hurt as air compressor tank explodes

MANILA, Philippines - Three fishermen who make a living diving for metal scraps were seriously injured after an air compressor tank which they are using in their operations exploded off Davao City Friday morning. Radio dzBB's Davao affiliate reported Friday noon cited sketchy details saying Carmelo Imbod may have his hand cut off while Rommel Imbod and a certain Andre are both in critical condition at a Davao City hospital. Initial investigation showed the three were part of a group of 12 fishermen diving for scrap metal from a sunken ship off Sta. Cruz district in Davao City. - GMANews.TV
