Police file complaint vs 5 men over RCBC robbery-slay
MANILA, Philippines - A complaint against five men, including a security guard and two former military men, were formally filed Friday in connection with the bloody robbery-massacre at the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. in Cabuyao, Laguna last May 16. Radio dzBB reported Friday noon that police insisted they have sufficient evidence to back their charges against the five, whom they charged at 10 a.m. Calabarzon police head Chief Superintendent Ricardo Padilla and Laguna police chief Senior Superintendent Fidel Rojas Jr filed the complaint before the Laguna Prosecutor's Office. Those named in the complaint sheet included RCBC guard Joel dela Cruz; Jesus Narvaez; former Army Sgt. Allan Pago; former Pfc. Ricardo Gomolon; and one Danilo Letoguet. Dela Cruz surrendered to authorities a day after the incident, while Narvaez also surrendered. Police said Narvaez was the driver of the suspects' getaway vehicle. On the other hand, Gomonon was nabbed in Fort Bonifacio on May 24. The two others remain at large. Several "John Does" were also included in the charges, the report said. Rojas said they have "strong evidence" against the five. He said they expect the prosecutor to formally lodge the charges in court so arrest warrants can be issued against those still at large. He said that of the five who were named, two of the suspects are in Laguna police custody, one in the custody of the Metro Manila police, and two at large. - GMANews.TV
