Marcos inspects farm inputs, equipment in Benguet
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday visited the Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center (BAPTC) in La Trinidad, Benguet to inspect farm inputs and equipment for distribution to farmer cooperatives and associations.
''Patuloy naman ang ating mga initiative kung mayroon pa… Kaya na – mabuti at nakausap ko ‘yung mga iba na nagtitinda rito para ‘yung kanilang mga suggestion kung ano sa palagay nila ang kailangan pang gawin," Marcos told reporters.
(We are continuing our initiatives, and I also spoke with vendors here for their suggestions on what we still need to do.)
Marcos also inspected the Spot Trading Building 2 (Wholesale Area), where post-harvest activities are underway, wherein he engaged with farmers and key stakeholders in the Cordillera highland vegetable industry.
The visit underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural value chain by improving market efficiency, price stability, and supply distribution.
Marcos said the administration continues to monitor the situation to ease the burden of the public from the impact of the Middle East crisis. —VAL, GMA News
