Authorities nabbed a woman who allegedly engaged in sexual exploitation and rescued three victims, including the suspect’s younger sister, in a resort in Iloilo City.

In Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, authorities conducted an entrapment operation after being monitored through cyber patrolling.

Investigation showed that the suspect created a social media page showcasing the victims and offering online prostitution for P17,000 of which she was receiving P2,000.

All the victims are college students aged 19 to 26 years old. They were turned over to a social worker for appropriate intervention.

The suspect has yet to comment on the matter. She is under the custody of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG).

PNP ACG said this kind of operation is important in protecting women and in avoiding the spread of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other sexually transmitted diseases. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/ BAP, GMA News
