Police officer seen on video hurting live-in partner in Malolos, Bulacan

A police officer assigned to the Malolos City Police Station has been relieved from his post after a viral video showed him allegedly hurting his live-in partner, authorities said Monday.

In a press briefing, Malolos City Police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Rommel Geneblazo said the involved officer is a police corporal assigned as a patrol driver and station vlogger.

The video, uploaded on social media by the victim showed the police officer physically assaulting the woman during an argument on March 12, 2026 at around 6:30 p.m.

Geneblazo said the cop had already been disarmed, with authorities confiscating his firearm and PNP identification card.

“Nasa admin holding section po namin ng Bulacan Police Provincial Office,” he said during a press briefing.

(He was brought to the admin holding section of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office.)

Authorities said the officer may also face dismissal from service.

Based on police investigation, the altercation allegedly stemmed from an argument after the officer turned off his location tracker, which angered the victim.

Police said the victim claimed the physical abuse already happened twice, with the first incident occurring on June 22, 2025.

The PNP said charges for violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, particularly physical and emotional abuse, would be filed against the police officer.

Authorities added that the victim and her family are now under police protection following the circulation of the video online.

Police are also investigating what object the officer allegedly pulled from his waist during the incident shown in the video.
