Davao City looks at AI to upgrade gov't. processes

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) to upgrade certain processes of the Davao City local government is being pushed by officials.

The Davao City Council is studying the application of AI among advanced technologies that can be employed in providing services to the city’s constituents.

Educational organizations recently demonstrated several digital learning tools and programs that included humanoid robots during a session of the city council.

Among the most promising of these technologies is how AI can take advantage of collected data, particularly in city planning and process requests.

The move is set to be prioritized in the city’s governance agenda in its efforts to become a future ready government where AI can be used as a tool to complement human labor. —GMA Regional TV News
