Yellow alert for Visayas Grid lifted on Friday evening — NGCP

The yellow alert status for the Visayas grid was lifted on Friday evening, according to the National Grid Corporation Philippines (NGCP).

As of 9:08 p.m., the yellow alert has been lifted by NGCP for the Visayas grid.

In an advisory, the NGCP said the available capacity was reported at 2,586MW while the demand is at 2,282MW.

"A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid's contingency requirement," the NGCP said. — BAP, GMA News
