2 dead, 3 hurt in ambush in Albuera, Leyte

Two people were shot dead in an ambush in Barangay Salvacion in the town of Albuera in Leyte.

Three others were injured.

The victims were riding a car heading to the Poblacion when waylaid by the suspects morning on June 15, 2026.

The suspects fled immediately after. Authorities are pursuing them, as of this writing.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the motive in the attack and identify those responsible.

Those injured are recuperating in the hospital. —GMA Regional TV News
