3 hurt as jeep rams roadside establishments in Antipolo


MANILA, Philippines - At least three bystanders were injured after a passenger jeep that went out of control slammed into a row of establishments along the Sumulong Highway in Antipolo City early Thursday. Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported that the jeep driver, one Edwin Alingod, claimed losing control of the wheel after the vehicle's brakes failed. "Nawalan ako ng preno, nawalan ako ng kontrol, binangga ko na lang (I lost the brakes and control of the jeep so I tried to hit the establishments)," Alingod said. The incident occurred in Mambugan village, and involved a passenger jeep traveling the Cogeo-Cubao route. Alingod said none of his passengers were injured. - GMANews.TV
