Lava effusion with strombolian activity was observed at the Mayon Volcano summit crater on Tuesday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The volcanic activities were recorded at 08:09 PM, 09:13 p.m., 10:27 p.m. and 10:48 p.m. on July 14, 2026, as captured by the PHIVOLCS Quick Response Team.

"Effusive eruption at Mayon Volcano continues for the 191st consecutive day, generating incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents or "uson", and rockfalls," PHIVOLCS said.

Alert Level 3 prevails over Mayon, and entry into the 6-km Permanent Danger Zone must be prohibited the agency said. — BAP, GMA News
