Ambuklao, Binga dams open gates to release water amid heavy rains

Two dams in Benguet on Saturday opened some of its gates to release water as heavy rains continued to pour, data from PAGASA showed.
Four gates in Ambuklao Dam were opened at 8 a.m. at 2.0 meters to release water at 281.20 cubic meters per second (cms).
Binga Dam also had four gates at 2.0 meters, releasing water at 317.53 cms.
PAGASA earlier said Luzon and the Visayas will experience rains within the next 24 hours due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Monsoon rains will affect Occidental Mindoro, Zambales, and Bataan, while Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Antique will experience occasional rains, it said. —KG, GMA News
