Traffic enforcer shot dead by motorist he flagged down in Cavite

A traffic enforcer died after being shot at close range by a motorist he had earlier flagged down in Dasmariñas, Cavite, last Saturday, August 8, 2026.

In a report on "Saksi" on Tuesday, CCTV footage showed a man wearing black approaching a group of traffic enforcers. He quickly pulled out a gun, shot the victim, and immediately fled the scene.

The victim passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Investigations found that the victim and his colleagues had previously flagged down the suspect for a traffic violation.

Following a manhunt operation by authorities, the suspect was arrested on Monday, August 10.
