The Municipality of Nasugbu in Batangas has declared a state of calamity in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Maymay.

The resolution issued by the Office of Sangguniang Bayan cited homes and establishments were submerged in water for days, "which resulted to slow movements of life and economic activities."

The council also noted emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, such as Dengue and Japanese Encephalitis, within the municipality.

The resolution also cited flooding in low-lying areas and areas in riverbanks.

"Resolved further, that the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Antonio A. Barcelon, be authorized to utilize the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (LDRRMF) Quick Reaction Fund (QRF) C.Y. 2026 for emergency relief, rescue, and rehabilitation activities," it read.

Maymay left the Philippine landmass on August 6.
