History's freeze frames: YouScoop your scoop!
Filipinos can now share their favorite photographs and video clips in what could be the Philippines' first multimedia sharing platform that allows the public to make their own news "scoop." In a pioneering project that allows Filipinos to âfreeze snippets of history" using their cameras and cell phones, GMANews.TV launched this week âYouScoop," the latest interactive feature of GMA News & Public Affairsâ official Website. "YouScoop" allows the public to share video clips and photos of news events, celebrities, human interest, sceneries, or personal favorites, to a wider audience via the Internet. With the advancement of online technology and the growing number of people with Internet access, âYouScoop" allows everybody to share their moments in history. "We are keen about powering the site with content contributions from independent sources," said Malou Mangahas, editor in chief of GMANews.TV. "YouScoop is a journalism and web community project, hence, our effort to clarify Mechanics and Terms of Use," she added. Contributors must register and agree with the siteâs "Terms of Use of Contributed Materials" before uploading photos and video clips. To view the site, visit youscoop.gmanews.tv.
