Appointments ng PH envoy sa China, AFP chief, kinumpirma ng CA
Kinumpirma ng bicameral Commission on Appointments ang pagkahirang ni Sonia Brady bilang abassador ng Pilipinas sa China, at si Gen. Jessie Dellosa, bilang Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Phlippines. Dahil walang tumutol, kaagad na inaprubahan ni Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile ang kumpirmasyon nina Brady at Dellosa kabilang ang anim na chief of missions ng Department Foreign Affairs (DFA) at 30 iba pang opisyal ng AFP. Para sa foreign missions, kinumpirma ang appointment nina: 1. Olivia V. Palala, ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan with concurant jurisdiction over the Palestine Republic; 2. Benito B. Valeriano, to Republic of India with concurrent jurisdiction over the Kingdom of Nepal; 3. Alejanrdo B. Mosquera, to Russian Federation with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Ukraine; 4. Oscar G. Orcine, to Great Socialits People’s Libyan Arab Jamarih8iya with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Algeria, the Republic of CVhad, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Malta, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Republic of Ngier and the Tunisian Republic; 5. Alex V. Lamadrid, to the Federal Republic of Nigeria with concurrent jurisdiction of the Republic of Benin, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Cape Verde, the Central African Republic, the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the Gabonese Rerpublic, the Republic og Gambia, the Republic of Ghana, the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, the Republic of Liberia, Sato Tome and Principe, the Republic of Senegal, the Republic of Sierra Leone and Togo; at 6.
