6 Pinoys join Valentine’s Day pageant in Bahrain

Six Filipino women are among the 19 contestants participating in the Mr and Miss 2007 post-Valentine’s Day pageant that will be held Saturday night at the Baan Saeng Thai Auditorium in Adliya, Bahrain. The Gulf Daily News reported Saturday that the Filipino contenders are Shirley Alvarez, Cristina Bungay, Russelle Ortiz, Rowena Oliver, Genalyn Pulangco and Marietta Graneta. They will compete for the Miss Valentine 2007 title. Also vying for the title are four other contenders including Bahraini-Filipino Manal Wahud Abdulla, Ethiopians Mimi Tafesse, Bety Eshtu Minywab and Haleluya Teka Degfio. Male contestants are Pakistanis Shakeel Amjad, Shayan Sharif, Mohammed Arsalan Khan, Ehsan Faisal Saeed and Ahsan Ejas Khan, Australian-Egyptian Peter John Elkhair, Indian Mohammed Talib, Bahraini Ahmed Aytoom and Argentinian Hector Raul Brito. The event is being organized by R2WD2 Productions in cooperation with The Great Profile Fashion Boutique as a post-Valentine's Day celebration. –GMANews.TV
