“This [cyber-sex] is becoming a big social menace. Imagine, minors are usually being victimized here out of greediness by some unscrupulous individuals. Legislation must be passed to put an end to it," ani Teodoro. “The PNP usually charges cyber-sex operators with [violation of] Republic Act 9208 or an Act to Institute Policies to Eliminate Trafficking In Persons…. But there are many forms of cyber-sex crimes that do not fall under this law. For example, there is no law against operators of child pornography in the Internet. We need a new law to counter this," ani Mendoza, hepe ng anticyber-sex crimes campaign ng PNP. “Poverty, lack of employment opportunities and guidance from their parents has led these children into being recruited by cyber-sex syndicates, lured into earning easy money doing sex in the Internet," dagdag ni Teodoro - GMANews.TV
