Cebu City limits cemetery visits to fully vaccinated individuals from Nov. 1 to 2
Only individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to visit cemeteries in Cebu City on November 1 (All Saints’ Day) and November 2 (All Souls’ Day), according to an order recently issued by Acting Mayor Michael Rama.
Rama’s directive dated October 15 also provides that only five visitors per grave will be allowed at any given time, and bringing of food, eating, and drinking of alcoholic beverages are prohibited, except those which are intended as offering to the dead.
Any form of gambling and other recreational activities are also prohibited.
“A categorized, scheduled, and regulated open house admission regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status will be allowed on October 18, 2021 up to October 30, 2021, and from November 3, 2021 up to November 5, 2021 only,” the order stated.
Authorities in Calasiao, Pangasinan, meanwhile, confiscated contraband and strictly implemented the “undas pass” policy at the entrance of cemeteries, according to Nikko Sereno’s report on Unang Balita on Tuesday. — Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA News
