Bill Clinton says supports ‘Me Too’, apologized to Lewinsky

NEW YORK - Former US President Bill Clinton on Monday said he supports the "Me Too" movement and apologized to Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern with whom he had an affair in the 1990s.

"I meant it then, and I mean it today," he told an audience at the New York Public Library. "I live with it all the time."

Clinton said he wanted to clarify remarks he had made earlier on NBC's "Today" program, during which he defended his handling of the Lewinsky scandal.

The former president was speaking at an event for his new book, "The President Is Missing", a political thriller that he co-wrote with James Patterson. — Reuters
