Brunei's Prince Azim dies at 38
Prince Haji 'Abdul' Azim of Brunei died last Saturday at 38 years old.
The Brunei government said Prince Azim died in the morning of October 24 and was laid to rest at the royal mausoleum in a ceremony attended by his father, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, and other family members.
The government did not disclose the cause of death.
Brunei is in a seven-day mourning period.
Prince Azim was fourth in line to the throne. He was a movie producer and was reported in international media as having hosted "extravagant parties" attended by celebrities.
He studied at the International School Brunei, then at Raffles Institution in Singapore and Oxford Brookes University in England.
The Brunei government said the prince "was known as a virtuous person who was active in various charities such as arts, youth and welfare, and also persons with disabilities and autism." —Nicole-Anne C. Lagrimas/KG, GMA News
