RAINFALL ALERT: Red in parts of Zambales, Bataan; Orange in Bulacan, 5 areas (Friday 8 a.m.)

A Red Rainfall Warning has been raised over parts of Zambales and Bataan on Friday morning due to the effects of Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its 8 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said the following areas are under heavy rainfall warning:

Red Rainfall Warning (Serious flooding is expected in flood-prone areas)

• Zambales (Cabangan, Botolan, Subic, San Antonio, San Marcelino, Castillejos, San Narciso, San Felipe, Olongapo)
• Bataan (Morong, Dinalupihan, Hermosa)

Orange Rainfall Warning (Flood is threatening)

• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Bulacan
• Zambales (Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz, Iba)
• Bataan (Abucay, Bagac, Balanga, Limay, Mariveles, Orani, Orion, Pilar, Samal)
• Nueva Ecija (San Antonio, Cabiao, San Isidro, Gapan, General Tinio, Penaranda, Jaen, San Leonardo, Guimba, Santo Domingo, Quezon, Licab, Zaragoza, Aliaga, Santa Rosa, Cabanatuan, Gabaldon, Laur, Palayan, Bongabon, Rizal, General Mamerto Natividad, Llanera, Talavera).

Yellow Rainfall Warning (Possible flooding in flood-prone areas)

• Metro Manila
• Rizal
• Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Cuyapo, Lupao, Nampicuan, Pantabangan, San Jose, Munoz, Talugtug)

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are expected within the next three hours over Cavite and Batangas (Balayan, Calatagan, Laurel, Lian, Nasugbu, Talisay, Tuy, Tanauan, Calaca, San Nicolas, Agoncillo, Lemery, Taal, Batangas City, Santo Tomas, Malvar, Balete, Lipa, Mataasnakahoy, Ibaan, San Jose, Cuenca, San Pascual, Alitagtag, Bauan, Santa Teresita, San Luis, Mabini).

Also, light to moderate rains are now affecting Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta) and Laguna (Santa Maria), which may persist within three hours and may affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned disaster risk reduction and management offices to continue monitoring weather conditions.
