Habagat to bring rains, cloudy skies over Luzon, parts of Visayas
Luzon and parts of the Visayas will experience cloudy skies and rains due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.
Monsoon rains will affect Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga, while occasional rains are expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.
The rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and the Negros Island Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Localized thunderstorms are expected in the rest of the country.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters will prevail over Luzon. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said a low pressure area (LPA) located 520 kilometers north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours, while another LPA outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a medium chance. —VBL, GMA News
