Heavy rainfall in parts of Luzon expected until Monday —PAGASA
Many parts of Luzon are expected to experience heavy rainfall due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, PAGASA said Saturday.
In its 11 a.m. heavy rainfall outlook, PAGASA said heavy rainfall are expected over the following areas:
Saturday to Sunday noon (August 30)
(100-200 mm): Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga
(50-100 mm): Ilocos Norte, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro

Sunday noon to Monday noon (August 31)
(100-200 mm): Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan
(50-100 mm): Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro

Monday noon to Tuesday noon
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall,” PAGASA said.
The next Weather Advisory will be issued at 5 p.m. on Saturday, the state weather bureau said. —VAL, GMA News
