LPA outside PAR with medium chance to develop into tropical depression

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a Low Pressure Area (LPA 09d) located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

As of 2 a.m., LPA 09d is located at 3,265 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rains over extreme Northern Luzon.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies as flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters are slight to moderate.

The Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northwest to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
