Habagat to bring rains over western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas

The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, is forecast to bring rains over parts of Southern Luzon and the Visayas on Sunday, September 20, state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Palawan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Romblon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected across the country, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 meter to 1.8 meters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila on Sunday will be at 5:45 a.m. —VBL, GMA News
