Trough of cyclone to dampen eastern sections of Visayas, Mindanao

Although outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the trough of Tropical Storm Surigae will continue to bring rains over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

As of 3 a.m. Thursday, PAGASA said the tropical storm is 1,500 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, moving west northwestward at 30 km/h nd with maximum winds of 75 km/h.

Meanwhile, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will have coudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Surigae.

The trough of the cyclone will also bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms and partly cloudy to cloudy skies in the Bicol Region and the rest of Eastern Visayas.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
