LPA draws Habagat which will bring rains to Luzon and Visayas

A low pressure area located east of Sorsogon will draw the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) toward the country, which will in turn bring rains to Luzon and the Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

The rains will pour over Metro Manila, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas and Cavite.

Flash floods and landslides may occur due to the scattered rains which may be light to moderate to at times heavy.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas as well as the Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm due to the Southwest Monsoon.

Flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

Mindanao, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers  due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.
