Cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers over MIMAROPA, western Visayas due to southwest monsoon


The southwest monsoon will continue to affect southern Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported on its 24-hour Public Weather Forecast.

MIMAROPA and western Visayas will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warned that landslides and floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving southwestward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Forecast wind speed for the rest of Luzon is light to moderate moving southwest to south while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
