Scattered rainshowers forecast over Zamboanga Peninsula, 3 other areas

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), where winds from the northeast and southeast converge, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Western Visayas and Palawan on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may also occur.

The northeasterly surface windflow is prevailing over Northern Luzon.

Coastal waters over Northern Luzon will thus be moderate to rough, with waves ranging from 1.2 to 3.1 meters.

Sea conditions will be moderate in Visayas and the rest of Luzon, and slight to moderate in Mindanao.
